For two weeks over late May and early June, sports fans make their way to the Stade Roland Garros for the most notorious clay surface tennis tournament, the French Open. With such greats like Rafael Nadal, Bjorn Borg, Chris Evert and Steffi Graff all claiming titles here, quality is not lacking when the elite come out to play. Being the second of Grand Slam tournaments, a lot of focus is brought on the French Open especially due to the difficult nature of it's clay court, so upsets may be on the cards, which is great for the neutrals. The stadium is situated in the sporty section in the south west of the city with the Paris Saint Germain soccer stadium, Parc de Princes close by.
