At one time known as the stairway to Heaven the Sainte Chapelle is a jaw dropping experience once you walk through its doors. The only surviving building of the Capetian Royal Palace, it is located right in the heart of the city. Damaged during the French Revolution, the Sainte Chapelle was then restoed in the 19th century and now contains one of the most amazing collections of thirteenth century stained glass in the world.
